The Academicians’ Gallery is the year-round exhibition space of the Royal Scottish Academy. All artworks on view in the gallery are by Royal Scottish Academicians and are available to purchase. Founded in 1826, the Royal Scottish Academy is an independent body of artists and architects. Royal Scottish Academicians are eminent artists and architects, elected by their peers, and Scottish by birth or domicile. As an independently funded charity, the Royal Scottish Academy relies on artwork sales as a source of income to fund its year-round programme of exhibitions, events and artist opportunities. In purchasing an artwork from the gallery, you are supporting the work the RSA carries out throughout Scotland to assist artists at all stages of their careers.

Shipping and Installation
We ship worldwide and have a network of trusted couriers and art handlers who ensure your newly-acquired artwork reaches you quickly and safely.
We also offer bespoke installation solutions for all private and corporate clients throughout Scotland. Our team of highly-experienced technicians can deliver and install all artworks, from large-scale canvases to substantial sculptural work. We would be delighted to advise you on the installation and care of your collection.
Working directly with the most respected artists in Scotland, The Academicians' Gallery is uniquely able to offer clients the opportunity to commission Academicians to create artworks centring around a subject of their choosing. If you are interested in commissioning an artwork, we can enable a dialogue with the artist, manage the process and ensure the finished work surpasses your expectations.
The Royal Scottish Academy and The Academicians' Gallery operate the Own Art scheme, allowing you to pay for artworks in 10 interest-free monthly instalments. All artworks by living artists from a value of £100 to £20,000 are eligible. We regularly help clients buy the art they love with Own Art and process more applications than any other gallery in Scotland. Please ask us for details.
