Jessica Harrison RSA was born in St Bees in 1982 and enrolled at Edinburgh College of Art in 2000, graduating with a PhD in Sculpture in 2013. As a recipient of a number of awards, Harrison has engaged with the RSA at all stages in her career. In her postgraduate year she was awarded the RSA John Kinross Scholarship to visit and work in Florence. In 2007 she received the RSA Sculpture Prize and in 2014 the RSA Latimer Award. She has exhibited at the Academy on a number of occasions and her work is represented in the RSA Collection. Harrison was invited to be one of the artists represented at Banksy’s Dismaland and has undertaken two three-month residencies at the European Ceramic Work Centre in the Netherlands.
