This work is priced framed. Framed in a light natural wood frame.

'The stones are like kenspeckle folk: acquaintances I visit and revisit, always with pleasurable recognition when I see again their familiar, very individual, shapes and I remain delighted and relieved to find these dear grey stone-people still there whenever I reach Calanais yet once more. Since childhood I have been a standing stone freak: finding them dramatic, mysterious, sculptural presences investing the landscape they stand in with a sense of history and providing a powerful reminder of the people who previously lived there. I know I am not alone in being attracted to visit Calanais. Over the centuries and from the time of its original construction Calanais must have been a place to travel to and visit, drawing people to come there and so it continues still. Now visitors from various parts of the world arrive at Calanais by bus, car and bike. Tents sometimes appear nearby and the cameras click. It pleases me the stones are not left lonely.'
Calanais, 1995
