Renowned for his exquisite watercolours and collages, William Littlejohn RSA (1929-2006) left the contents of his studio to the Royal Scottish Academy. Whilst a significant collection of the studio became part of the RSA’s permanent collection, we are pleased to offer selected works by the celebrated painter for sale. Featuring previously unseen and lesser-known works by the Arbroath-born Royal Scottish Academician, this exhibition will include watercolours, collages and other works on paper which show Littlejohn’s masterful handling of colour and light. The exhibition will highlight the subtle beauty of the distinctive motifs that Littlejohn drew from the natural world and the Japanese influences that permeated his practice.
